What tile is recommended for outdoor use?

The less porous the tile is the better off you will be. Porcelain tiles are less porous than ceramic tiles. If you are using tiles for the floors, you should consider a matte finish, especially with an R11 anti-slip coat for better traction. A ceramic tile will not handle temperature changes well and can be very brittle in outdoor use even if it is not a walking surface.
